Hope. A simple word with such a deep meaning and much importance. It is almost impossible to talk about hope without also talking about faith. One way to think of it is like this: Faith is believing for something. Hope is holding on to that belief no matter what.
Hebrews 10:22-24
Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.
Romans 5:3-8
Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
If you are going through something and it may be hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel, just know that God has your back as long as you don't forget with whom you place your trust, faith & hope.
Until next time...
